Addam Marcotte is Managing Principal at FMG Leading, a group of advisors and coaches that create value at the intersection of strategy and human capital performance. Addam has over 20 years of experience successfully managing organizational operations and leadership development. As an experienced operator and leader, Addam applies knowledge from the field and the C-suite to his consulting engagements. He is a trusted advisor to a broad range of organizations and creates value through advising on large-scale organizational change, strategic alignment, executive coaching, team development, and organizational culture change. He often interfaces as a strategic advisor between board-level or private equity sponsors and portfolio company executives.
Addam works with enterprise-wide leaders to develop big-picture strategic thinking, fundamental leadership skills, emotional intelligence, executive presence, and self-awareness. He integrates his extensive coaching experience with psychometric tools to guide clients to deeper levels of self-awareness and to build their personal brand. Addam’s work with leadership teams focuses primarily on strategic alignment, effectively leading change, creating team vision/mission, enhancing communication and trust, and improving interpersonal dynamics.
Previously, Addam worked at DreamWorks Animation serving in Human Resources, where he improved employee experience and engagement, leadership training and onboarding, and studio-wide communications. As part of DreamWorks Animation’s IPO transition team, Addam worked with all levels of the company preparing for the shift into the public marketplace. Addam also worked at UCLA where he led multi-departmental change strategies, as well as campus operations project management.
Addam has worked with leaders across multiple industries, although his current client work focuses primarily on healthcare and PE-backed healthcare organizations. His client list includes: Surgical Care Affiliates, OB Hospitalist Group, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Optum Health, Community Veterinary Partners, Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), BrightHealth, Hackensack University Medical Center, DaVita Clinical Research, Sound Physicians, UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, New Capital Partners, Cortec, Windrose, Jadian Capital, Gryphon Investors, and Waud Capital Partners.
Addam has developed a unique global perspective from years lived abroad, primarily in Southeast Asia and Europe. He remains an avid traveler and brings a diverse and creative set of problem-solving and leadership skills to complex challenges.
In addition to his work with FMG Leading, Addam enjoys teaching the next generation of change leaders as an adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University and a guest lecturer at Boston College.
Addam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Davidson College, and his Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business. Additionally, Addam has studied at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He is a certified facilitator for the Hogan assessment suite.
