About

Matthew Piekos is a seasoned advisor who partners with private equity and healthcare clients at key inflection points to help them scale, integrate, or rethink strategy. He specializes in helping leadership teams align around key priorities, improve decision-making agility, and create strategic plans to guide ongoing transformation.

Matthew supports executives and teams along the full arc of organizational change – from planning for success, designing change roadmaps, and building the required leadership capabilities and focus that makes transformation work. He is passionate about partnering with clients on a mission to improve patient outcomes, leverage innovation, and create long-term value.

Matthew brings a broad, systems-based approach to his client work, connecting behaviors, decision-making, organizational structure, and culture together to drive performance. He is an expert at translating high-level strategic goals into operating models that people can use every day to drive results – while building trust an improving quality along the way.  Clients value Matthew’s ability to bring clarity to complex issues, build consensus around future priorities, and help leadership teams maintain focused momentum over time.

Prior to joining FMG Leading, Matthew served in leadership roles with advisory firms Slalom and Korn Ferry.

Matthew serves as a mentor with Flare Education, a non-profit that supports high-potential students from under-resourced schools in preparing for professional career opportunities.

Matthew earned a B.A. in Political Science and Communication from the University of Pittsburgh and has completed coursework in business mathematics and financial modeling from UC Berkeley.

Personal
Matthew lives in Boston, Massachusetts with his fiancée. When not working, he enjoys working on his tennis game and re-sharing with everyone the story of when he met his idol, Roger Federer.
