About
George Lagone specializes in helping CEOs, investors, and sales leaders turn a growth plan into real revenue. He has spent over 20 years partnering with leaders to clarify how the sales team is built, who covers which customers, how quotas get set, and how sellers are paid to do the right things.
George is known for pairing good commercial judgment with strong numbers. He uses data and predictive models to set fairer quotas and to find revenue that companies are missing. He also leaves clients with practical playbooks, so the work keeps paying off after the project ends.
Before joining FMG Leading, George led sales effectiveness and commercial change projects at Aon, Lotis Blue Consulting (formerly Axiom Consulting Partners), Korn Ferry, and ZS. He helped a cybersecurity company build a three-year growth plan that lifted sales 72% annually, and designed a key account program for a PE-Backed industrial company, helping them grow their biggest accounts 42% in a year and eventually set up the sale of the business. George also led a turnaround at a travel company that cut $7.5M in costs and added $80M in sales.
George additionally has served as Senior Director of Sales Effectiveness and Compensation at Fiserv, where he helped six business units improve sales performance and streamlined custom pay plans around an improved model. He began his career in technology and operations roles at Accenture and Deloitte.
George is a partner and co-founder at RevenueShift, a boutique sales effectiveness consulting firm. The company helps mid-size and large company business leaders grow revenue and improve commercial team performance, with clients in technology, manufacturing, and professional services.
George earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Computer Science from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP) through WorldatWork.
