About
Matthew Piekos helps healthcare executives and private equity-backed leadership teams define their value creation plans and deliver against them. As a Senior Director at FMG Leading, he partners with clients at critical inflection points across the investment lifecycle, from post-acquisition integration and scaling through value creation planning and exit readiness, aligning leadership around the priorities that drive enterprise performance and long-term value.
Matthew’s work centers on building value creation plans that are specific enough to act on and establishing the execution discipline required to deliver them. He brings a systems-based lens to this work, connecting strategy, decision-making, organizational structure, leadership behaviors, and culture so teams move from plan to results with clarity and pace. His engagements span value creation planning, exit readiness and diligence preparation, transformation roadmaps, post-acquisition integration, and operating model design.
Clients value Matthew’s ability to make complex issues actionable, build consensus around future priorities, and translate value creation theses into operating rhythms that improve quality, strengthen trust, and support durable performance. This approach positions organizations to demonstrate their full value at exit. He is especially energized by work with organizations advancing patient outcomes, innovation, and the next stage of healthcare growth.
Prior to joining FMG Leading, Matthew served in leadership roles with Slalom and Korn Ferry. He also serves as a mentor with Flare Education, a nonprofit that supports high-potential students from under-resourced schools in preparing for professional career opportunities.
